As homeowners, a major part of our responsibility and expense is maintaining common areas so that all our families can enjoy the peace and beauty of this setting. Although many volunteers help to oversee these common areas and advise the Loch Lomond Property Association on current and future needs, a large part of our yearly expenses go to pay landscapers. Each year the contract is reviewed by the administrator and the Board for changes in cost or services and either the contract is renewed or sent out for more bids. Landscaping requirements include mowing, fertilization, and shrub maintenance of all common areas such as the dam and spillway, north and south beaches, and the entrances from Route 45 into Loch Lomond on Dunbar and Edgemont Streets. Also included in these costs are the maintenance of the asphalt sidewalk in Banbury Park and sand raking at both beaches.
