The Loch Lomond Property Owners Association (LLPOA) has over many years worked to protect our most important resource, Loch Lomond, through many initiatives that provide our community with opportunities for education and volunteerism. To this end, we participate with many Lake County conservancy groups that help us identify problems from which we plan for short term and more long-term solutions. We are represented on the Bull Creek/Bull's Brook Watershed Council and the Upper Des Plaines River Ecosystem Partnership and have participated in formulating strategies to mitigate current and future problems with our lake. An overriding goal of all our efforts has been the continuing education of our community to best practices in the maintenance and improvement of our lake. That goal has resulted in a yearly educational and fun fair LochFest. Costs for this event are underwritten by Mundelein community businesses and LLPOA.
